OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. TURN ON: Press the ON/OFF button once to turn on and Keep the button pressed for 3 seconds to turn off. 2. WARM UP: The detector automatically starts heating the sensor. During the heating cycle, the digital leak size indicator flashes H, when the flashing H stops, the indicator area displays 0 and the detector sounds a slow ”beep”.The warm up cycle is complete. Warm-up time is usually 30 seconds. The detector is ready to begin searching for leaks. 3. SEARCH: Move the probe tip towards a suspected refrigerant leak at the rate of less than 2 inches (~50 mm) per second, no more than 1/4 inch (~5 mm) away from the suspected source. 4. DETECTION: If a leak exists, the numerical value of the indicator area is displayed and the sound will increase in rate and pitch.If the detector alarms,make smaller weeps back and Forth until the leak source can be pinpointed. |
