Main application

HMBK-10 and HMBK-35 Automatic Voltage Regulator (hereinafter is called AVR as abbreviation) isa kind of controlling device,which is mainly used to control switching operation by motor drivemechanism on the OLTC. Thus, it can regulate the transformer by manual, by automatic, by parallelcontrol, or by MDU.HMBK-10 is applied to CF type OLTC while HMBK-35 is for SY□ZZ

Main characteristics

By lightly pressing a button, certain parameters of the AVR can be set, including set voltage, voltageregulating accuracy, time-delay and etc.The AVR can display signal voltage, operation times, tap changer position and No. of parallel device.The AVR has the function of connection and operation mode non-source contact output, BCD codecontact output as well as one-to-one corresponding position signal non-source contact output. The remotecontrol ‘1-N’, ‘N-1’ and ‘Stop’ which can help realizing remote monitoring and controlling of the OLTCby contact point.It can also realize non-contact remote monitoring and controlling of the tap changerthrough RS-485 communication interface, which communicates with upstream device to achieve remotecontrolling and communication. Furthermore, it can be done by remote controlling signal of current tapposition, voltage, connection and operation mode.The AVR has also the function of alarm and runningsignal non-source contact output.The AVR has operation connection NC (normally closed) contact input. Only if the contact closes, theAVR works. Sound and light alarm blocks the AVR operation because under voltage protection whencurrent voltage is less than set voltage by 70%. On the other side, the alarm blocks the AVR operationbecause over voltage protection when current voltage is high than set voltage by 30%.

2.1 The AVR must be installed indoors; 

2.2 Ambient temperature should be neither bellow-10℃ nor above+40℃; 

2.3 Relative humidity should never exceed 85%; 

2.4 Altitude is not higher than 2,000m; 

2.5 Obvious vibration and violent shock repulsion are not allowed; 

2.6 No explosion hazard. no metal corrosive and no insulation-destroying gases or electric-conduction dustaround.

2.7 No erosion by rain and snow.

3.1 Rated parameters

3.1.1 Power supply: 220V (HMBK-10) (85%-110%) 380V (HMBK-35) (85%-110%)

3.1.2 Rated frequency: 50Hz/60Hz 

3.1.3 Signal voltage: (Current voltage) 20V AC - 500V AC 

3.1.4 Under voltage: lower than set voltage by 70% 

3.1.5 Over voltage: higher than set voltage by 30%

3.2 Setting parameters

3.2.1 Set voltage: 80V - 450V, with step length 1V 

3.2.2 Voltage-adjusting accuracy: 0.1 - 10.0%, with step length 0.1% 

3.2.3 Time-delay: 10 - 360s, with step length 1S 

3.2.4 No. of parallel AVR: either H1 or H2 for master L1, L2 in sequence for slave

3.3 Displaying parameters

3.3.1 Signal voltage: 20V AC - 500V AC 

3.3.2 Tap position indication: 1 – 15 

3.3.3 Operation times: 1 – 65535 

3.3.4 No. of parallel AVR: the same as chapter 3.2.4

3.4 Input and output contact point (contact capacity: 0.5A 24V DC)

3.4.1 Connection and operation mode output contact BCD code output contact One to one corresponding output contact Operation signal output contact Malfunction alarm output contact The AVR has operation connection NC (over current blocking) input contact. When the contact is normallyclosed, the AVR can operate; when the contact is normally open (over current blocking), it can not do that.

3.4.2 Remote control ‘1-N’, ‘N-1’, ‘Stop’ (source contact input) 

3.4.3 RS485 interface is connected by screening wire. 

3.4.4 CAN bus which is correspondingly connected by screening wire or twisted-pair is a parallelcommunication interface.
