Basic Concept of PID Control

PID control is a feedback control algorithm designed to adjust the control variable (e.g., motor speed, heating power) so that the system output (e.g., temperature, speed, pressure) closely matches the desired setpoint. By combining three operations—Proportional (P)Integral (I), and Derivative (D)—PID control achieves precise regulation of system errors.

Application Scenarios and Control Targets

PID Control: Primarily used for controlling continuously varying analog signals, such as temperature, pressure, or flow rate. It is suitable for systems that are largely linear and have dynamic characteristics that do not change over time.

PLC Control: Offers broader functionality and application scenarios. In addition to basic logic control, PLCs can handle timing, counting, arithmetic operations, and complex automation tasks through programming. PLCs are widely used in industrial production lines, robotic control, automotive electronic systems, medical equipment, and more.

Control Methods
